Architectural influences are all around us, many influenced by structures that were built hundreds of years ago. Grand Union Station, built in 1881, is Denver’s transportation center that offers access not only to Amtrak trains but also local bus routes, free city shuttles, and the light rail network. (Denver Union Station | VISIT DENVER, n.d.)  Greek architecture is known for using large columns in their structure. Large Columns are the first thing one might notice at Union Station. Its grand arched windows resemble roman-arch-style windows shown in our textbook. And its cathedral high ceilings can also be noted to have been influenced by the Roman period.
