- Review the Learning Resources, focusing on the challenges associated with organizational change. Research the change that you feel to be the most pressing for healthcare organizations. Consider how you would communicate this change to a team or how you would prefer to receive this change communicated to you.
By Wednesday
Post your analysis of how the drivers of and resistance to change impact organizations. Be sure to include the following:
- Identify the most pressing challenge a leader will face when implementing organizational change in the healthcare industry and explain why.
- Write an appropriate intent statement that you could share with employees. Your intent statement should introduce the need for the change you identified, explain what the change will accomplish, and address the capacity for this change by employees. Use creative metaphors or images to help communicate the change.
- Describe what actions a leader can take to create a climate for change and encourage risk-taking. Be specific.
Support your response by identifying and explaining key points and/or examples presented in the Learning Resources.
Read a selection of your colleagues’ postings. Consider how your colleagues’ postings relate to the information presented in the Learning Resources and to your own posting.
Refer to the Week 11 Discussion Rubric for specific grading elements and criteria. Your Instructor will use this grading rubric to assess your work.
